Horizontal Fan Application

Horizontal FanCEGEN is excited to announce that we have developed a Horizontal Fan Application!

Using a series the patent pending CEGEN Green Energy systems we can direct and focus the vertical airflows of the horizontal orientations. Two CEGEN units per fan will maximize the efficiencies of CEGEN and keep the back pressure at acceptable levels.

Turbine diameters grow to as much as 11’ on a 156” fan application so torque is high which will give us high power generation.

Results on a double 156” horizontal w/ 237,000 cfm per fan

  • Total of four CEGEN 10 kW packages can be applied
  • Back pressure per fan is <0.10 iwg
  • 24-28 kW/h generated
  • CO2 Footprint reduction of 250-300,000 lbs/annum.

Revised Design Testing

Revised Turbine Design

Recently we completed a revised turbine design test on the CEGEN unit. The CEGEN unit was mounted on top of a 156EH Cooler with a small engine attached to simulate the max RPM of the fan.

The purpose was to test greater RPM and Torque, for a greater increase in power generation.

 Back Pressure, Air-Flow and Channeling

Our team also measured back pressure to ensure cooler efficiency. We then studied air-flow and proper channeling to learn how to minimize turbulence and incorporate greater efficiencies. This will yield increased power with little to no impact on cooler performance.

The tests were a great success and we are now analyzing the data. We should be ready to go live in 6-8 weeks.
